Your First Visit to Tucker Chiropractic
The moment you enter Tucker Chiropractic Center, you will be greeted by a warm, friendly environment. One of our staff members will ask for information that is needed for your file (ie.:driver's license, insurance information). You will be given a New Patient folder and we will review the paperwork with you.
After the necessary paperwork is completed, the next stop is the consultation room. We will provide you with some information about how and why we do things, and then Dr. Tucker will meet with you. He will want to know about your current health issues and what we can do to help you. He will ask you some questions and he will want to answer any questions that you have. Dr. Tucker will then perform a thorough examination to determine the precise care needed.
The examination will consists of several assessments to show Dr. Tucker where you have disturbances in your nervous system or other problems. The tests are painless.
If X-rays are needed, the X-ray Technician will escort you to the X-ray room. Several images may be taken at this time. X-rays are used to reveal the structure and alignment of the spine and confirm other examination findings. Once the x-rays have been taken, you will return to the examination room.
After a short wait, Dr. Tucker will return and answer any other questions you may have. Sometimes care can begin right away. You will most likely review the findings in detail with the doctor and begin treatment on the first day. The front desk will assist you in scheduling a time for your second visit.
Typical Office Visit
On a typical office visit, you will sign in at the front desk. When it is your turn, we will escort you to a room to prepare for the doctor. The doctor will assess any changes in your health status to determine what areas need to be adjusted for the day and answer any questions you may have. These visits usually only take 5-10 minutes, and Dr. Tucker runs very close to his schedule. Sometimes a therapy will need to be used which may take an additional 10-15 minutes. Periodically we will do a Progress Check to monitor your response to care and make an individualized care plan.
